South College’s online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Post-Master’s program is designed to develop transformational nurse leaders with the skills and expertise to meet the needs of the global nursing community. In this program, you’ll explore topics including population health and emerging disease, organizational leadership, healthcare policy and economics, quality improvement, and program evaluation.
With self-paced learning, you can have the flexibility to study anywhere and progress at your own pace. A 1:1 mentoring model connects you with faculty, advisors, and staff to create a collaborative learning environment. The program’s subscription-based tuition structure allows for a 6-month “All You Can Master” approach, giving you control over your pace of study. Move quickly through familiar areas and spend more time on subjects that require deeper understanding.
Through your clinical practicum experiences and a scholarly project, you’ll also have the chance to apply your advanced skills to identify a healthcare problem, analyze and conduct relevant research, and propose and implement an evidence-based solution in a healthcare setting. Each course requires successful completion of specific formative/summative tasks per competency that must meet or exceed Mastery level in order to progress to the next course. Requiring a dissertation and successful defense of the dissertation earning a “Pass.”
